So what is the proper way to install xlibre on ghostbsd?

LizziAS i have tried asking ai AND THEN i got a system that booted to a black screen save for the mouse cursor on each of my 3 monitors that wouldnt move... and so i rolled back to xorg until i can get better instructions than ai has to offer. THANKS!

ericbsd I installed xf86-video-amdgpu and my machines are not freezing.
Fingers crossed. Maybe it is just me but I have pushed the browsers pretty hard the last few days.

When it opens, click on Help, About, Website.
Before, It was locking my machine up.
It's not now.

ericbsd So the new iso def boots! That's awesome. There are still a couple small quirks though. First quirk for the 2/28 iso release kernel 15 is that any window that is maximized spans across all 3 screens. The second quirk is that i get no mouse pointer on my far left monitor which is a 19 inch dell monitor in portrait mode. if i drag a window from far right to far left it's very apparent that the little cardinal direction mouse icon disappears on the left most screen. Thank you fopr the opportunity to test these... so close!

@LizziAS I see your ticket for xlibre-xf86-video-amdgpu. It caused the black screen because GhostBSD uses DRM, not xf86-video-amdgpu.

Thanks for confirming this. That means the DRM drivers do not work well with XLibre.

ok so i uploaded a file on the xlibre-ports along with xrandr file too and a brief description of my setup

ok so looks like this is solved. the solution is to uninstall xlibre-xf86-video-scfb and install xlibre-xf86-video amdgpu or whichever is specific to your card. scfb interferes with the other drivers and causes major glitches in multimonitor setups especially and diminishes performance greatly.

I have Intel integrated graphics, but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't follow that suggestion based on the package description.

Maybe for me the scfb package is preferred for my graphics and single monitor use case?
