Problem with Lenovo ThinkPad L580

The problem is it restarts as soon as I shut it down. I have also tried opening a terminal and using the commandsudo shutdown -p now and shutdow -h now
But the computer restarts anyway. The computer is a Lenovo ThinkPad L580 i5-8250U, 16GB Ram, 256GB SSD,
15.6" FHD
I use MATE Desktop

Snubbi I recommend verifying if there's a firmware update available from Lenovo. Lenovo may have already resolved the issue.

I found another solution: I Adding hw.efi.poweroff=0 to /etc/sysctl.conf and now the computer shuts down as it should.
