how can I update microsoft edge linux version?
is this possible with a terminal command?

Assuming you have linux-rl9 and Microsoft Edge already installed, this might work.

chroot /compat/linux /bin/bash
cp /etc/resolv.conf /compat/linux/etc/resolv.conf
dnf config-manager --add-repo https://packages.microsoft.com/yumrepos/edge
dnf update microsoft-edge-stable

isn't "dnf" only a fedora linux command?

I guess I don't have linux-rl9.

Anyway, if there is an easy way to do this, please tell me.

Of course, I use firefox & ungoogled chromium as my daily browsers,
but out of curiosity, once in a blue moon,
I use microsoft edge,
just to see what old Billy is doing with his proprietary browser

Both Rocky Linux 9 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and later versions utilize the dnf package manager.

too complicated for a newbie,

but no big deal,
firefox and ungoogled chromium are enough

There are other browsers to try too, Epiphany, Dillo (text only but very useful sometimes), and others. If you do Software Station and search "browser," enable "search descriptions" and "show descriptions." Some of the results are file browsers, so just be sure it's a web browser you find. Play around with some of the ones you find right in our own repos.

If I may be so bold: The only other change in that script should be where it says to change directory twice. It returns an error code "too many arguments."

Before:

cd Rocky\_Linux\_Compatibility\_Setup\_for\_FreeBSD
'cd chmod +x setup_linux_compatibility.sh'

After:

'cd Rocky_Linux_Compatibility_Setup_for_FreeBSD`
'chmod +x setup_linux_compatibility.sh''

This li'l script might fix my Seamonkey issue as well. If it does I'll post it in that thread.
