Package manager

Another item in 18.10.
When I open the package manager (I forgot the real name), it works. When I exit , I have to restart the computer for the manager to open again.
Not a real show stopper, but sorta buggie, right?

Timer you

That should not happen.
What happens when you open a terminal and type

octopkg

Are there any error messages in the terminal?
