GhostBSD 18.10 octopkg

Post by joellapointe1717 » Mon Oct 22, 2018 12:51 pm

Hi,

I'm new to the BSD world! Comming from linux, I'm an average user... that mean I needed a graphical install. This is why I'm trying GhostBSD.
Installation of 18.10 went well.... however, i need to install packages with OctoPKG. I tried to refresh the database and the following message appear :

Code: Select all

Synchronizing databases...
Shared object "libgksu2.so.0" not found, required by "gksu"
Command finished with errors!

It seems it lacks libgksu2.so.0 ... is there a way to install it?
Furthermore, i don't see any list of package to install in OctoPKG, it is all blanck!
When I want to install a package like chromium, I search it in the search bar. I can select it and click the check box. The it give me the choice to run the install in the terminal or not. It won't install anything!

Thank you
Joel Lapointe

Yes

Code: Select all

sudo pkg install libgksu
The software repository is broken we are rebuilding a new one there should be an update tomorrow or Wednesday if everything goes a plan.

I can click on octopkg in the System Tools or try run it from the terminal and it doesn't show up on the desktop, but it shows up in System Monitor.
