Not a lot of bad things to report for this version.

In installation wizard, I noticed a mispelling when installer is starting to copy files. It says

Installation strat in progres

.

Annoying thing is related to bxpkg.

1) It doesn't run for menu entry (at least with lxde ISO)
2) When I try to install / update, I got an error dialog saying :

Your system 9.2-RC2-p1 is unknown!
Try updating bxpkg or supply repository URL with a --repo-site option

Noticed also on lxdm ISO that user folders like documents or music or downloads are not "translated" after installation.

Will try to grab xfce ISO and see if I can find another bugs.

Beta2 32bit & 64bit run live OK, but still seems to be trouble with the installation script.

I tried both versions today, live was OK, but when I tried installing it quit after the partitioning stage.

I can't remember quite what, but I will take another go at installing both again & make notes.
I will get back to you.

(I was busy swapping all my hard drives over today.)

I was just testing proposed software. I will try to see how I can install missing translations so. Thanks for the info.

Downloaded & MD5 checked GhostBSD3.5 .img files
32bit xfce & lxde + 64bit xfce & lxde

Ran 32bit xfce live - wifi auto config was good, but I had to run 'service netif start' as root to get it working.

Retried installing 32bit xfce

Trying Custom Partitioning - P1 = 10,000MB P2 = 150,000MB P3 = 78475MB (the rest of disk)
Trying to install to P1.
After 'Adding User & Root' screen I get 'Installation Error'

EXITERROR: Error: partition is set to unknown value part

Trying 'Create A Partition With Preset Mountpoint' - using P1, P2, & P3 as above.
After the 'Installation Strat In Progres' screen, (I think this should say 'Starting The Install Process'), I get 'Installation Error'

Using 'Entire Disk' - I can close the installer window (?), but it continues to install (!)

On booting into the new installation - I got problems with the auto config of my wifi, it was set to use RSN & not WPA.
This appears to be a /etc/rc.conf issue, I had to change/add wpa to dhcp - also changed US to GB.

My /etc/rc.conf - (which is what I am using to post this)

fatmac thanks for rc your rc file I forgot to remove the code for configuration WiFi from pc-sysinstall.

For the partitioning with GPT which is p1, p2, p3 and .... the GUI is not exactly what if should be.
MBR still the best way to go with BSD, but most Linux distro now use GPT. That is why I configure pc-sysinstall to use GPT.
You need to one partition like p1 and allocate your mount point label in the next window and the installer will split for you p1 in p1 p2 p3.

For the auto partition you chose a partition like p1 and it will split it for you in p1 boot, p2 /, p3 swap.

Eric, I am going cycling this morning so will not get around to re trying until later today.

From what you say, it looks like I have mis undestood part of your installer, so that is what I shall try & get to grips with when I get back home.

(Once I have it sorted out in my mind, I will try to write up an install howto; for us Linux users. )
