Hello everybody
What needs to be adjusted to enable automounting of the optical drive ? in GhostBSD 4.0 x64 ?
Automounting the optical drive
Re: Automounting the optical drive
It should already automount your drive but it is possible that that its failing to do it.
Run polkit-gnome-authorization as root and go to org freedesktop hald storage you can change permission there.

Here's what happened :** (polkit-gnome-authorization:8321): WARNING **: Couldn't connect to session bus: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.ericbsd wrote:It should already automount your drive but it is possible that that its failing to do it.

Go to org->freedesktop->hald->storage, under storage you can put yes to everything.

Re: Automounting the optical drive
You press edit and you put yes in active console and if you want any user to have access to it, put yes to anyone.
I hope it will work for you.

Hi Eric,
I tried to edit but it won't accept the change and reverts back to the default configuration.
What's up with that ?
