I has download and install GhostBSD on VirtualBox. Then, first, I do pkg_add -r mc.
Then I run mc, and see terrible encoding in mc. I begin to investigate why I see this incredible encoding. I was create new user, and set shell to csh. And this terrible encoding was go out.

Thus I decide the problem is the fish shell. My question is - do you try mc under fish shell and why I see incredible encoding on my screen?

Sorry for my english, I speak not enough right.

Screenshots and all other data will be provided by demand.

If it's not too late to make a comment on this problem, I suggest that it is to do with your language setting, it probably maps the graphic characters that are used to those symbols that you see. I used to have that problem a long time ago. It may be possible to alter them, but it is too long ago for me to remember. Might be worth checking out the 'mc' site for a solution.
