Upgrading from 23.10.01 to 23.12.01

Post by Ken E Unix »

Is there a write up for the steps needed to upgrade version 23.10.1 to version 23.12.01 ?

During a software update under 23.10.01 I got a message that 23.10.01 is being depreciated.

Thanks

The OS will be updated in January. 24.01.1 will be the next version. Only packages will be updated by then.

Just use Update-Station. You will be informed by GhostBSD if there is an update and an icon will appear in the taskbar.
Just click on this Update Icon and Update-Station will launch.

Update-Station does both: package updates and os updates. You just have to lauch Update-Station you don't need the
command line.

I ran Update-Station and it said I was up to date.

However it still says it's 23.10.01 ??

The latest version is 23.10.1 there is no newer version.

I think the naming 24.01.1 of the latest downloadable iso is a mistake.

Why do you think that there is a version 23.12.01???
