Hi,
I'm completely new to GhostBSD and have installed it in a Vmware virtual machine to try it out.
Everything seemed to be going well but following some updates the software station program stopped working. It showed no software and now just closes after a few seconds of being launched. I was hoping to see what software is available in Ghost BSD.
Is there a way to repair something like the software station or perhaps find and install software by another route?
Regards Steve
Software station doesn't work after updates
Re: Software station doesn't work after updates
Hi, I know so little about GhostBSD that I think my initial post might be in the wrong forum.
Sorry.

How did you do your pkg upgrade?
Re: Software station doesn't work after updates
Oh and when did you do the upgrade?
Re: Software station doesn't work after updates
Hi,
I did the installation 2 days ago and updated yesterday. Now the software station program at first launches and tells me there are 0 packages available and 678 installed. I'm surmising that there should be more available. If I launch it again having closed it it just closes almost immediately .

Re: Software station doesn't work after updates
Can you run pkg info software-station in a terminal and give me the version?
Re: Software station doesn't work after updates
Hi,
As I've been replying to you, and in a demonstration of utmost efficiency, there has been an update of software station just now. It's now working as it did originally showing software and working as it should. It looks like the problem has been fixed. The command you gave shows it's version 1.0 but installed just this minute following the update.
Thanks for replying to my question.
Regards Steve
