No Network, WiFi or Cable

Post by limo »

Hi,
I started a Ghost BSD live session on my laptop. I could not get any internet whether WiFi or DSL cable.
I read here in the forum and tried editing some files as recomended in some posts, start/restart services... etc. Nothing worked.
Sorry I am absolutely new to BSD.

This is my hardware if this can help you guide me how to do it.

Device-1: Broadcom BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter driver: wl
v: kernel bus-ID: 02:00.0

Check under "Networking" topic for 4313 I think there might be a solution. google "freebsd bcm4313"

https://forums.ghostbsd.org/viewtopic.p ... bwn#p10712 bwn wifi chipset driver for some Broadcom chips.

Re: No Network, WiFi or Cable, QA8162 Ethernet card

Read more about card from This Lenovo G580 laptop
AR8162 Fast Ethernet
Works under FreeBSD 10.2 or later

The BCM4313 wifi card might have support now. Broadcom is propietary and does not share programing details.
