[SOLVED] Printing issues in GhostBSD 2024.04.1

Post by swarfendor437 »

It has been a while since I last used GhostBSD - had a major update fail on an old drive. Installed the newest version (MATE DE), and have hit a different issue trying to install the canon printer.

Having downloaded the source files I need to install the canontorasterij library to CUPS but this is what I get when running the commands from the readme file:

Code: Select all

root@swarfendor437-ghostbsd /h/s/c/rastertocanonij (master)# ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr --enable-progpath=/usr/local/bin
                                                                     make
                                                                     make install

Hello swarfendor437

I have my Canon printers configured on FreeBSD, Ghost and Nomad, if you want, follow my old post without skipping a single step and I hope it works for you!

Hi Judd,
Remembered I had to use IPP everywhere in CUPS on previous install but was having difficulties remembering how to get it but now sorted. Thanks for your help.
