Package Question

Being new to GhostBSD I don't want to make assumptions.

Do all the FreeBSD packages work (within reason) on GhostBSD, like Open Office, DOSbox, and so on?

GhostBSD has its own repository of 33,000 packages. That repository is updated from FreeBSD repository of 33,000 packages. If there is one particular package you want, it should be in the Ghostbsd. If it is behind in version ask @Ericbsd to update that package. Glad you are here enjoying a fine operating system GhostBSD.
