(440055) KDE: GhostBSD Live User can not unlock the screen

Re: https://forums.ghostbsd.org/viewtopic.php?p=9498#p9498 I understand that ISOs such as this are not supported by GhostBSD, but can anyone tell me how to unlock the screen (ttyv8) from a console (i.e. ttyv2)?
loginctl is normally used, but not recognised (I guess, because the May .iso uses OpenRC).
Probably related: KDE bug 440055 – Can't unlock the screen if the user has an empty password.
(I reported the bug, but stupidly forgot it whilst booted from the ISO (whilst installing). I can easily start afresh, overwrite the installation, but I'd like to know what to do in the absence of loginctl.)
