Any ideas?

I think the problem is my monitor's EDID.

When I tried Debian it installed OK but as it boots it's very verbose, and there's major "complaining" about the EDID.

That my guess what the issue is - handling a monitor with a "bad" EDID.

You could see if RC2 will work, now available - however, the dvd did not boot on my laptop. (I am in the process of reporting this.)

The installer of GhostBSD only supports creating BSD partitions, if you want to re size a Linux partition you will have to do it before. If you're confused how to create a partition on GhostBSD use the option auto label it will be easier.

I am experiencing this exact issue now with the 4.0-RELEASE live disk. Was this fixed in RC2? I'm downloading the image to test right now.
