Just to be clear GhostBSD is base on FreeBSD, but that does not mean that everything that applies to FreeBSD works on GhostBSD. The default GhostBSD does use the same init system like FreeBSD.

There is a GhostBSD ebook https://leanpub.com/getting-started-with-ghostbsd.

For FreeBSD Michael-W-Lucas Books https://www.amazon.com/Michael-W-Lucas/ ... 752&sr=8-2
and the FreeBSD handbook https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/.

GhostBSD-21.04.26.iso and GhostBSD-21.04.27.iso

Post by grahamperrin »

Installation from pre-release GhostBSD-21.04.26.iso succeeded, a few days ago, in VirtualBox on FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT. Either 6.1.18 or 6.1.20 at the time.

A first attempt to install from GhostBSD-21.04.27.iso seems to be stuck with the symptom described in this topic:

The GhostBSD Installer window does respond, in that it can be resized.

I'm saving the machine in this state.

Would you like me to retain this state, for diagnosis?

If not, I'll reset and start afresh.

Strange. I had no recollection of a prior attempt to install.

GhostBSD 13-STABLE.vdi created at 17:59 yesterday. Unfortunately I no longer have the log.
… If you did a custom partition, you would need to recreate a zfs partition, set the pool and remove the label and delete the partition.
Will zpool-labelclear(8) work in non-customised cases? Sorry if this has been discussed before.
