Hi,
I made a bootable AMD64 GhostBSD 4.0 USB key, and was able to boot my laptop (Dell Latitude E6330, UEFI) with it. I used the graphical installer, and got several errors along the lines of "Cannot mount volume. Error org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.UnknownError", but it seems to install fine. Upon reboot though, I can't boot, and the UEFI loader can't find the FreeBSD partition (there's an entry for Ubuntu, which was the previous OS on this laptop). Any ideas?
Can't install 4.0 Alpha 2 on UEFI laptop
Re: Can't install 4.0 Alpha 2 on UEFI laptop
I do not own a UEFI system I can't really help on that, but since it is FreeBSD you might find an answer how to make it work from a FreeBSD perspective, anyway I will take time to look for that.
Re: Can't install 4.0 Alpha 2 on UEFI laptop
Thanks! I gave up on it though, reinitialized the drive with an MBR partition scheme and set the computer to legacy boot, and of course it works fine now.

Did you do a first partition with / and the second one as a swap? Also you can use auto partitioning by selecting the free space press auto.
