LUA error with GhostBSD19.10

Post by dromieu »

Good evening. I am trying to install GhostBSD19.10 on my DELL Optiplex 740 PC in BIOS. I burned a DVD with GhostBSD19.10.iso image. At boot I get the message: startup error in /boot/lua/loader.lua
cd0: Read 1 sector (s) from 1645059 to 0xffffe000 (0x8000): 0x32
What can I do ?

Is that after installing GhostBSD or on the livecd?

No. I downloaded the GhostBSD19.10.iso file from the GhostBSD site and burned it on a DVD with Brasero. I re-wrote with another new DVD. The result is the same.

In attachment, the screen image I get at boot.

To test I burned the ISO file of an old version of PC-BSD on a DVD. The installation worked well. But The installation of TRIDENT is not done either.

I have exactly the same problem.
I tried another DVD device but same error.

I have the same problem with TrueOS. Perhaps a problem of this OS and not GhostBSD?

A question: how can I guess the version of my ghostbsd after install (when the install will work)?
I have seen that this problem is common to the last version of FreeBSD.
And no answer from the freebsd team :-(
And no chance: impossible to find a iso of ghostbsd 19.09...

Finally I found ghostbsd19.09,
I can install it,
but only with one drive: a LG M-disc writer, model HL-DL-ST BD-RE BH16NS55.
And not with any other (Samsung, Asus, other LG drive...).

GhostBSD can't boot in live session; can't boot at all.
Not important: the old versions you can boot, but you can't use it; no terminal, no firefox, you can't use any "executable"...
