Reflecting time zone in the MATE lock screen clock?

Post by alexintokyo »

Hi is there a way to set up GhostBSD so that the clock on the lock screen in MATE reflects the time zone of the user's location as configured in the MATE clock settings widget?

For some reason, the lock screen clock shows a date/time which is 15 hours ahead of my actual time which is shown at the right had corner of the top panel of my MATE desktop. Thanks.

Use sudo tzsetup. GhostBSD's default time is local time. Your system must be on UTC, so select yes.
