Porting: git crashes GhostBSD session

Post by nevets »

If I 'sudo git switch 2023Q1' in /usr/ports, for example, the GhostBSD session arbitrarily closes - dropping open files. Effectively logs the user out without warning. The internet session stays open.
If I 'sudo git switch main' it behaves properly.
Why might git crash the session?
This is the first time I've ever found FreeBSD to arbitrarily crash.
Was just playing around with git and branches....
