When I start MATE System Monitor, the program opens and closes immediately.
Does anyone else have the same problem?
Or maybe the problem is just in my local settings:
os: GhostBSD (MATE) on QEMU/KVM (GNU/Linux host)

This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.

Re: MATE System Monitor
There are some issues with my settings on QEMU/KVM.
The processor tag on the system tab is the first issue:
Intel Core i7 9xx (Nehalem Core i7, IBRS update)\Uffffffff\Uffffffff × 2
(The character with Unicode value \Uffffffff)
The second issue is described on the FreeBSD forum:
https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/mate ... elf.50334/
I found a temporary solution until I moved everything to VirtualBox next month.
Interestingly, OpenIndiana(MATE) and UbuntuMATE VM on the same system have no problems with MATE System Monitor.
Today I installed FreeBSD with a MATE desktop and it also has the same issues.
The problem can be marked as solved.
