I want to install mame emulator but can`t find it in software station, only advancemame. Is mame available for ghostbsd? Can u help me install mame?

I am a linux user for some years and now for a week i am testing ghostbsd and i am very impressed how the distro works as an daily pc for surfing and office tasks and retro gaming.

Did you try "pkg search mame" ? EDIT: Package mame does only exist for freebsd.

As it is in the ports, there is surely a way to get it.

EDIT: I downloaded the mame package with pure freebsd, that I have in virtualbox. You can install it via "pkg add" command but I don't know if you get all dependencies, but it should work. Maybe you could get update problems in future.
If you like I post the file here for download.

Mame did not compile on a few packages builds, when I have time I will investigate why.

It should be available now.
