Great! that was indeed what I was expecting would happen. I will find the update when it's ready.

Re: Update station

Ah, got it. I think what confused me is that it is listed in the application menu, like something you could run :?

Update station

Does anyone know how 'update station' is suppose to work? I Installed GhostBSD 11.1-ALPHA, BETA and now 11.1-RELEASE on 3 different machines (9 installs) and it never worked anywhere. The only thing that seems to happen after I start 'update station' is a tiny, tiny icon (can't see what it's suppose...

Re: 'Auth.log' Log file filling up

The fact is that yes we are few and indeed there are things more important to do first, but I'm afraid about "why on the earth...", that is not what we are thinking) It's always a bit of a challenge to write down exactly how one feels about something, more so when English is not ones nati...

Re: 'Auth.log' Log file filling up

I have done some changes lately to NetworkMGR to prevent the scan when there is no wifi, and more work will be done on NetworkMGR since it is an incomplete project. Not that is a lot of change coming in the future of GhostBSD I can now put more time than before on GhostBSD. I do now work for iXsyst...

Re: 'Auth.log' Log file filling up

That's actually two different things: Yes, extending the network manager so that it doesn't try to use wlan at all on system where it's not desired (or even possible) would be a nice feature. But then there are probably a lot of systems where you would actually want to scan for wlans. And in that c...

Re: 'Auth.log' Log file filling up

To me it would make sense if doas supported suppressing log messages for certain commands. However I don't think that it has such a feature. Yet? Well, to me it would not make sense supressing these messages. They shouldn't be generated in the first place, right? Why would running 'ifconfig wlan0' ...

Re: Octopkg problems?

OK, Could you try to remove it ? Done. Rebooted > no change; Octopkg still has the same error. It seems 'qt4-network' came with SMPlayer. I Blame NevilleGoddard for that, he recommended that player on this forum... But seeing where that came from, I know for sure that Octopkg did not work...

Re: 'Auth.log' Log file filling up

Really? That seems a bit excessive. Especially since none of these machines has a WiFi adapter.
