Yea if you pkg install -f spideroak it will fix the problem the thing is once I build the live image it doesn't work

Oh and for the boot FreeBSD is going there slowly and with openlaunchd this will change lots of things.

I was struggling on the choice of MATE or Xfce, I had seen Xfce development to be not constant and stable and have decided to go for MATE. But now that I am maintaining MATE, I see that XFCE is way more easy to work with the code than MATE. I can say that right now I am stuck on 2 ports for MATE 1.8...

I had a similar problem on RC1 but I was still able to boot. Since RC2 build , I did not see that happen back.

Prince Pkgsrc was the default in FreeBSD and in 10.x pkgng is the default package manager. at one point pkgsrc will be deprecated on FreeBSD and I deprecate pkgsrc in favor of pkgng, with pkgsrc have no way to update software.
