Successful upgrade from 10.3 to 10.4

As my previous upgrade (in a test machine) to 11.0 was unsuccessful (critical problems with virtualbox and calibre) I've just tested the upgrade to 10.4 from ghostbsd 10.3. I've followed the standard freebsd procedure. Everything works (at least until now), including virtualbox and calibre. Networkm...

Re: Nearly perfect for me, but..

Skype 4.3 is able to run in GhostBSD 10.3. I don't use skype, only once for a couple of tests and it worked. Packages installed in my system: linux-skype_oss_wrapper-0.1.1 Partial PulseAudio API implementation using OSS backend skype4-4.3.0.37_5,1 P2P VoIP software I've just checked again and it's s...

Re: How/where to set global environment variables?

I prefer to fill ~/.profile or ~/.bashrc to place my env variables and settings (alias for example). In this way I don't need ~/.login_conf.

The only system in which I configure /etc/login.conf for specific settings like no coredumps, memory, etc. is in OpenBSD.

Equalizer

I don't know if the equalizer can be enabled with all sound cards. My laptop is a Thinkpad T420s and the sound module (I guess it's integrated into the kernel) is SND_HDA. To enable the equalizer I put in /boot/loader.conf: dev.pcm.0.play.vchans=4 hint.pcm.0.eq=1 hint.pcm.0.vpc=1 Then you can contro...

Re: New GhostBSD 10.3 pkgs repositories

Thank you very much ASX. Now I'm a little more determined to test GBSD repositories. Now it's a matter of time.

Thanks so very much.

Re: My Post-installation Configuration

Maybe It could be useful a section dedicated to share our pf.conf (explaining it).

Re: New GhostBSD 10.3 pkgs repositories

Thanks Achim... I've been thinking about clone the harddisk before moving to GhostBSD repositories.... the another disk it's not same size, maybe the filesystem partition are equally sized (250Gb SSD one disk, and 240Gb the second SSD). If I can clone the filesystem then I'll move. If not probably I...

Re: New GhostBSD 10.3 pkgs repositories

Re: Lenovo X200 fail

I'm not sure if this is the same problem hillclimbracing is reporting, but if it helps... I've have some problems installing gbsd 10.3 in a thinkpad T410 and in a T420. Sometimes (I've tested installation several times) graphical session doesnt's start, so what I do is the following (if my memory do...
