ericbsd wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2019 8:51 am Did you try modesetting instead of intel drivers?
Regardless of modesetting or intel driver, it's still tearing.

System stuck when shutdown

It's stuck at Saving dependencies cache... My keyboard was already turned off but other part of the system still on. It stucked for 30 mins so I decided to hit reset. I'm posting this from MX Linux, don't know if my GhostBSD installation would boot up properly after this incident or just broken :(

Re: How to reduce screen tearing with my intel integrated graphic?

How old is your intel device? You might need to use modesetting instead of intel drivers also look at /etc/X11/xorg.conf that is the default setting of GhostBSD. Intel Core i5-4460: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/80817/intel-core-i5-4460-processor-6m-cache-up-to-3-40-ghz.html

Re: GhostBSD 19.09 is now available

Yes, that is what it means. The only tool I need to use is pkg with pkg upgrade -f? Update Station only shows 177 updates available but pkg upgrade -f show almost 1G of packages needed to fetch (629 packages) so I think I would go with pkg. I checked freebsd-update still available, if it's no longe...

You said GhostBSD will become a rolling release system. Does this mean I no longer have to do reinstallation whenever newer versions are available? It's so cool :D

Re: Will Project Trident's decision affect GhostBSD?

Here is my answer to everything https://www.ghostbsd.org/node/194 and please we are not forums about trident so keep your thoughts for yourself. I only want to make sure we still have GhostBSD in the near future. I'm from MX Linux and I want to completely switch to GhostBSD, but still keep MX LInux...

Re: problem with virtualbox linux guest

VirtualBox is essential for me. I still have to run Linux guest for special applications that not available on FreeBSD.
