Re: Octopkg problems?

Instead of checking for 'leaf' better to compare all packages : pkg origin That's a much longer list and I don't know if this is useful. There are packages in there that don't mean much to me. Did the same as before; saved both to a file and did a diff. This is the result of the diff. 24d23 < devel...

'Auth.log' Log file filling up

I noticed today that /var/log/auth.log is steadily growing in size. Every hour it rolls over due to size. Basically there are only two lines in there: Sep 16 20:42:19 ghostbsd doas: rherman ran command ifconfig wlan0 as root from /usr/home/rherman Sep 16 20:42:19 ghostbsd doas: root ran command ifco...

Re: How/where to set global environment variables?

LoL :D  Hope that imply some irony ! Anyway, yes he wrote he used that fine utility. Irony? No, not at all.... ;) :P I now see that the OP has responded that he used that utility, but his post wasn't there when I posted, although it now looks that way. Weird? Still kinda, sorta (...) works for ...

You could be on to something... rherman@ghostbsd ~/Desktop> sudo pkg -4 update Password: Updating GhostBSD repository catalogue... pkg: Repository GhostBSD load error: access repo file(/var/db/pkg...

Re: Octopkg problems?

"no address record" usually means that there is a DNS issue, e.g. you have connectivity but the DNS is not set properly or is not working. Agreed. But it is consistent. Happens always, while mail or Firefox have no problems with address resolution. I do not assume that Octopkg has it's ow...
