Re: 19.09 : Issues with my AMD card
Hello, I eventually got it working after installing GhostBSD using the VESA driver and the drm-legacy-kmod package. I thought it was time to buy a new graphic card : Nvidia GeForce 1030 works like a charm. Nothing to do with the above but : The dots appearing in LightDM are not artefacts but come fr...

19.09 : Issues with my AMD card
Hello, I'm having an issue with my graphic card and 19.09. It is an AMD Radeon HD 5750. - In the live session, mouse is working but I have no pointer. I changed it and its size but in vain. - If I choose "amd" or "startx" in the X Configuration Menu, my computer does not (or does...

Re: GhostBSD 19.09 is now available
Hello,
I installed 1909 in a VM and this version is really exciting.
First thing I noticed is the excelent job done on LightDM. It is now localized ! No need to convert chars typed from my azerty keyborard into qwerty.
And it seems numlock can be enabled in the conf file.

Re: problems with booting 19.04
Hello,
I run into the same issue with both 19.09 versions (2019-08-10 and 2019-08-27) :
- BIOS + MBR : Install OK but GhostBSD doesn't boot. Black screen; Cursor blinking.
- UEFI + GPT : Install OK but GhostBSD boot stucks at "starting xconfig".
Regards.

Re: Unable to make a bootable USB flash drive with GhostBSD 19.04 or 19.09
Hello,
I don't know why but I never succeed in installing GhostBSD from a USB stick.
Burn the ISO if you can, it will work better.
Regards.

Re: how to shutdown ?
Hello Eric,
I don't know scripting very much but the above seems to copy all files whose names begin with "ck-" and add a ".sample" extension.
But don't we need the opposite (i.e. make a copy of ck-*.sample removing the ".sample" extension) ?
Regards.

Re: Questions before switching
Hello, Thank you. The pkg utility is very useful. I switched from Windows to GhostBSD 10 days ago and I was thinking of a way to share the issues I encountered as a newbie and the solutions I found. I don't know if a thread is a good idea but let's try. My hardware configuration before : A 256GB SSD...
