I am also a newbee, and I just had that problem on my first install. When you load the cd and it gets to the cli to login go to root [su] then type ee /etc/X11/xorg.conf go down to where the driver is identified and change it to "vesa" press esc, press a, press a type in exit to go back to...

The svn svn checkout svn://svn.freebsd.org/base/releng/9.2/ /usr/src doesn't populate the /usr/src/sys directory. I've reinstalled it and it's not doing it this time. I'm following http://sourceforge.net/p/ghostbsdproject/code/HEAD/tree/3.5-RC/ instructions this time. Should this work better? May not be a bug in the os, it may be a bug in my motherboard. I switched to BSD from debian linux because of a conflict...

To install nvidia-drivers from ports you need src. Do pkg_add -rf nvidia-drivers /usr/src may be the problem. I seem to have [sys] directories inside each other in /usr/src/sys/sys/sys .... and they go on forever. Should I reinstall GhostBSD and try again or is there a way to fix the directory corr...
