Re: i386 / 32 bit GhostBSD
Alright, I managed to get my hands on some old but still functional 32-bit only hardware (and writing this post in Firefox on said machine  ): An Allnet FW8888 (there's a PDF with the specs here ; it's in German but the interesting parts like hardware details on page 2 should be easy to und...

Re: Trying to install GhostBSD 11.1 ALPHA1
Ok, this is actually pretty easy. Here's how to confuse the installer: 1. Boot GhostBSD (GhostBSD11.1-BETA1-20170829-182151-mate-amd64 in my case), should not make a difference, though. 2. Run the GhostBSD installer 3. Pick any language 4. Pick any keymap 5. Pick any timezone 6. Select UFS Full Disk...

Re: Installing GhostBSD 11.1 on ZFS
Hi JOEGhost! 1. This is something that we'd also like to have. In fact we're hoping to eventually replace the installer backend somewhen after the release 11.1 happens. However somebody has to find the time to actually do it. ASX already gave you an invitation - it's all open source and should you t...

Re: Trying to install GhostBSD 11.1 ALPHA1
Anyway look like ericbsd is having difficult to replicate the problem, a very accurate step by step guidance would be very much appreciated. ;) I'll try mess up the installer again somewhen in the evening. I hope that I can find a pattern and thus provide a step-by-step procedure that is repeatable.

Re: How/where to set global environment variables?
As far as I know that's what ~/.xprofile is for - but I think SLiM does not use this file. You can also try /usr/local/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc or ~/.xinitrc for defining environment variables. Does that maybe do the trick?

Re: Installation has failed
Yes, I've been there (and I would assume the same is true for the others). However to help you with more than wild speculation, it might be a good idea to actually provide the log file. We know what the error message looks like but we don't know what is in your log.

Re: "error: incompatible license" GhostBSD 11.1 x64 XFCE
I tested the Live media I did with Linux dd command and Rufus dd command, both have a same problem - after using running Firefox for some time the systems turns unresponsive! So I hard reboot the PC and did a custom installation - a partition (20GB) previously used by TrueOS, formatted into UFS+SUJ...

Re: Trying to install GhostBSD 11.1 ALPHA1
I would assume that you might have been hit by a bug... In fact a colleague of mine tried out GhostBSD on my recommendation and reported a somewhat similar problem. We tried again together and there wasn't any problem, so I dismissed it. Now reading about it again, I fired up the current ISO in VBox...

Re: GhostBSD 10.3 repositories ?
Just wanted to make clear that I have no truck with said person who is damaging Europe badly (sorry, Greece and all the others!) and destroying my own country. :P When I posted that, I was having some fun, but I didn't mean to associate a person with their politicians ideas, apologies if you felt c...
