Re: ntp issue ?

Perhaps you could put this command in your rc.conf file :

Code: Select all

ntpd_sync_on_start="YES"
On my machine (XFCE community version) I had to modify the dashboard clock settings to re-enter the time zone that had disappeared.

Re: ntp issue ?

I come from a small village near Ver-sur-Launette :-)
Regarding your time synchronization question you should check your boot dmesg to see if there is a problem starting the service.

Re: ntp issue ?

Hello christophe60_fr (maybe a french isarien in this forum? :-),

NTP is not the best time synchronization service on FreeBSD it interacts with the network service and not always good. I preferred chrony.

Re: How to stop automatic mounting of disks/partitions

Hello mario69, GhostBSD use OpenRC as init system so you can desactivate hal with the rc-update delete hald command (presuming hald service is in rhe default level).

Re: BCM 4313 with if_bwi : nothing happens

Hello CyrilleM,

Unfortunately, the BCM4313 wifi card is not recognized on FreeBSD/GhostBSD. See man page here : https://www.unix.com/man-page/posix/4/BWI/

Re: Touchpad on Let's note does not work

Hello Leo,

Welcome to GhostBSD wishing you will love it for years :-).
For your touchpad you have to install xf86-input-libinput package and perhaps put hw.psm.synaptics_support="1" in your /boot/loader.conf file.

For information see https://wiki.freebsd.org/SynapticsTouchpad .

Re: Installed but no Boot Option

Hello geffers, You can install the GhostBSD Refind bootloader which will recognize the other Linux distributions installed on your machine (solution that I have chosen personally) or create a 40_custom file in your Linux distribution and do a grub update behind so that it detects GhostBSD entry, see...
