Try Rufus. I haven't tried it on GhostBSD, but everything else worked:

Re: Not ready for prime time
I'm just curious what made you try GhostBSD instead of FreeBSD?
FreeBSD is pretty simple to setup. If you are getting the apps you want working, that is much more complex than installing a gui in FreeBSD. But it eliminates the extra steps that might cause bugs of a work in progress like GhostBSD.

Re: GhostBSD has installed microsoft generic service host
Just to add something to this, I ran shields-up on my FreeBSD 12 install. I didn't configure anything with the firewall. This was a basic install where just installed the GUI and KDE plasma 5. It passed shields-up with no vulnerabilities. So it definitely looks like GhostBSD adds something that open...

Re: GhostBSD has installed microsoft generic service host
Hey Ken, Unfortunately I don't use GhostBSD as I want zfs in a partition, so using the normal FreeBSD. So I don't know what they have by default installed. I kind of replied since I see you didn't get a response. Ideally you might want to message macondo and see if he might know as it was his recomm...

Re: How to Fix Mouse Scrolling
It is read only because you don't have rights to write to it with your account.
Type the following:
sudo ee /etc/rc.conf
Escape brings up a menu so you can save it.

Re: GhostBSD has installed microsoft generic service host
I think you need more information. We don't know if that is good or bad. You basically said the equivalent of I ran this program and it said my computer was a red nightingale, I don't want my computer to be a red nightingale, how do I fix it?

Re: Install Chromium?
Just to give you a heads up on that, I use Palemoon for everything. However, today the login box for my investment website was missing. This is the first time I tried it on palemoon. The website is nbc.ca. Firefox displayed it as it should. Apparently opera used to be a very good default browser for...

Re: Booting freshly installed GhostBSD 11.1 Fails on ASUS Vi
Well I am glad you have the option to get it up and running. It is unfortunate to hear since if it is SSD you are using, that would mean the computer is relatively new. I had hoped this had been an issue on only really old BIOS computers. The computer I was having the issue on is a decade old. It is...

Re: Installing GhostBSD 11.1 on ZFS
I know this is old, but regarding this rather than putting a lot of effort into it, couldn't there be an option like on the FreeBSD install disk? Like they have an option where you go to a shell and the person sets up the drive and mounts it on /mnt. When they exit, the rest of the install continues...

Re: Install Chromium?
Chromium doesn't work well on FreeBSD in my trials of it. Firefox was basically the only useable browser. But now palemoon works much better for me. I'm not overly familiar with GhostBSD, but as it is FreeBSD, you should be able to just download the package from freebsd site and install. However, I'...
