Thanks for the help, however I can't even get in to the OOPS! screen now. Getting bad files messages during the boot-up message scroll. then it just wants to reboot. So...must have borked the files somehow too !

Hello While installing nvidia drivers through octopkg and adjusting scripts in/etc/defaults/rc.conf and /boot/device.hints I overlooked the last step nvidia-xconfig ! so I cannot boot into the graphics just getting an ooops screen try again, with no success. So it doesn't recognize UFS. Maybe you should install and/or build a new kernel with support UFS for mount your slide of GhostBSD. Is the slice naming convention different for BSD ? like /ad0s1 versus /sda1 (linux) ??
