Welcome to GhostBSD! There is an application called Octopkg. If you open this you can search for packages there. Alternatively you can install by the command line. Open a terminal and login as root. Then for example if you want to install an alternative media player to the one already installed type...

Hi. What happens when you click on the wireless icon in the task bar at the top of the screen. I think after installing you have to set wireless up one more time. Then you should see your router appear then enter password when prompted.

Hi Roger.
GhostBSD has a pkg called update-station. This should notify you when you have updates. It's automatic. No need for commands.

Hi and welcome! Unfortunately I've never used a firewall so I can't help you there. Sorry. GhostBSD 18.10 uses OpenRC for its init system so you have to start it a different way.
