Re: ntfs-3g default support

I would appreciate ntfs-3g default support also. Hi JimsWorkshop, as of GhostBSD 10.1 (I don't know about older versions right now), ntfs-3g should be part of the default installation. You can have a look at the manifest to see which packages are installed by default. There you will find fusefs-ntf...

Re: Installing Ghostbsd

Hello Ken and welcome to the forums! Glad to hear that you like GhostBSD. From the parts that you mentioned I would not assume much trouble. Your PC should be fine for running a FreeBSD-based OS. I don't own a hexcore machine myself, but since FreeBSD scales up to a lot more CPUs, I could expect tha...

Re: Unable to get to install menu GhostBSD 11 ALPHA

Any ideas on how to download graphics drivers for GTX 1070? I haven't gotten my hands on any pascal based graphics cards, so I cannot tell you if they already work with FreeBSD. They are definitely too new for 10.3 and probably for 11.0, too. What you might want to try first, is getting a TrueOS li...

Re: Imake and X11 .rules [SOLVED]

I do not know what pastebin is, but if you want to find the error, why not download the package and check it yourself? The files will be the same. Pastebin is a service on the net that lets you upload text files to share the contents with others. I'm not familiar with Salix or its repositories - co...

Re: VirtualBox Guest Additions

Thanks for that info, kraileth. Pity that this kind of thing is not better described and updated regularly in the docs. As far as I know it's a single developer working (in his free time) on that shared folder problem, trying to fix issues with 5.x's virtual filesystem and FreeBSD. The last thing t...

Re: GhostBSD 10.3 repositories ?

a quick update: the 2nd round of repo builds will be completed tomorrow, both i386 and amd64; I will shift the "test" repo to "current" and will upload the new "test" repositories. ;) That will include the updated freebsd ports tree and the recently fixes for "tweak-station". Excellent! And next .....

Re: VirtualBox Guest Additions

Before you all continue to investigate it: Can anybody confirm that it does work at all? As far as I know it used to work but shared folder functionality broke during the painful transition to Virtualbox 5. Since then shares were broken and disabled by tools such as Vagrant (i.e. it's a well-known p...

Re: Imake and X11 .rules [SOLVED]

Is there something I have got wrong or is it maybe something with the Imakepackage? Hi PelleB! Probably the later: Have a look here . It seems like problems started occuring when FreeBSD started using LLVM/Clang as the system compiler for i386 and amd64 so the ports people needed to fix it. Today i...

Re: Anybody going to BSDCan 2017

I was also planning to attend Euro last year but in the end didn't make it to Serbia (which was a real pitty because both recording teams also couldn't come and there are no videos...). I've looked at coming to France this year but it's unlikely. Hopefully next year... But going to Canada is a bit t...

Re: GhostBSD-11 testing the "test" repository

What about the Synth repository? Please disable it for now. As far as I know it sets a high priority for itself and thus might interfere with package installation. Also the idea is that the buildserver runs Synth so we don't have to! ;) Running Synth locally makes sense if you either want to learn ...
