Re: Full GBSD Installation from Terminal?

when you are running on real hardware simply remove the "additions"

Code: Select all

sudo pkg remove virtualbox-ose-additions

Re: MultiArch ?

HI, the problem you are encountering has its root in the separation that exists between "system (kernel and userland) and "ports". FreeBSD/GhostBSD, unlike i.e. Linux, has this type of separation, as consequence lib32 refers to "system" only, and doesn't include ports packages, like i.e. "libX11". Y...

Re: MultiArch ?

lib32 libraries are already included in GhostBSD-amd64, both in Mate and Xfce ISOs, there is no need for an installer option.

Re: Once again: Kernel

do a buildworld without fear, it will be no much different than a kernel build. Additionally, if you read the docs, you will find that it is always suggested to build both, they need to be always at the same version otherwise you will find that some utility doesn't work as expected. freebsd-version ...

Re: Once again: Kernel

Assuming you are using one of the lastest beta, based on FreeBSD-10.1 and amd64 arch: start downloading the source, if not already done (these are src for kernel and world): ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/amd64/10.1-RELEASE/src.txz unpack the tarball, starting from '/', src should go in ...

Re: Hybrid ISO for testing.

I downloaded the i386 ISO and installed B2 under Virtualbox. Only strange thing I noticed was that when booting is that you get to a Log In screen and have to press Enter before you get to the desktop to be able to do the install. hi fmh, I believe this is a very specific PCDM issue, from my tests ...

Re: How do I mount my NTFS and FAT32 drives?

fat32 is easy:

Code: Select all

mount -t msdosfs /dev/da0s1 /mnt
check dmesg for real device name of your usb fat32 stick

for NTFS, we are adding support for it in the next ISOs,
I'm unsure about what is available or not, basically you need to use fusefs-ntfs package.
