Re: TrueOS abandoned

Hi Eric! My heart sank when I heard that TrueOS is being abandoned. I'm glad to hear GBSD will continue. However, at one point you had indicated you wanted to move to TrueOS (away from base FreeBSD). I assume the move was to allow access to the newest drivers and whatnot (and to support the worthy T...

Re: GhostBSD 19.10 Now Available

I think FuryBSD is iXsystems' answer to Project Trident's decision to switch to a Void Linux base. It's XFCE based. https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=FuryBSD-Announced It seemed GhostBSD will have another competitor :) Ha ha. Joe Maloney is one of two members of the GhostBSD proje...

Re: 19.10 iso gives me "Invalid partition table!"

Wow, I really did that. I didn't even think to press the enter key and see what happens. Epic facepalm. Anyway, thank you plumtreed . I get the same error when booting from my disk on the laptop? Luckily I now have a new tool of investigation at my disposal and managed to out whit the wayward partit...

19.10 iso gives me "Invalid partition table!"

Hi, I usually run ghost in a vm so this is my first time doing a bare metal installation. I downloaded the iso and dd to a 16 gb usb drive. I used a block size of 1m. I tried booting and received "Invalid partition table!" I then downloaded in windows and used balenaEtcher https://www.balena.io/etch...

Re: Thanks For Being Awesome

Alright, the installation went fine. My mouse is *crazy* sensitive, even though it's on the lowest settings possible. I was hoping to add the disk from my prior VM so I can move everything over but the system doesn't boot. I wonder if that's because both disks have the same zpool label of "tank"? (#...

My Ghost VM has been my go-to environment for pretty much everything over the last year and a half. I never mind do...

When I use my mouse wheel to scroll up while in Firefox, it goes back a page. Do you know how to fix that?

Thanks,

Re: Firefox disappeared with latest update

Thanks, it worked. I used OctoPkg instead but the url "current" is actually missing. (I don't understand why you chmod +x GhostBSD.conf as it's a conf file not a script.) Yesterday, when I launched OctoPkg, there was no error (and no firefox) but today I saw the errors you mention. So I just change...
