OK -- havent tried the recent one but here is my update ...And I wont until you get rid of drm2 .... the now defunct freebsd aka linux-3.18 method of getting to X OpenBSD works ,,,, monolithic kernel X windows Xfce4 / kde4 DragonFlyBSD works, sort of, xfce4 still jittery on fonts ... but efi converg...

Your firmware needs updating.
kfreebsd_module_elf /boot/kernel/***
Is KMS necessary?
either way for me there is no 'radeonkmsfw_KAVERII***'

The sooner you give up grub and replace with rEFInd the quicker your distro will port. Using win32diskimager from 2014. NOT RUFUS or other usb utils i have command prompt. I have downed the BETA BUT VBOX bringing in vesa so no RADEON so X, Xorg wont start. Still the ugly mono font and no readily ava...

To me the fault in BSD is that there is a lack of adaptability in filesystem support. Would it be impossible to build a BSD to run on other filesystems? XFS, ext4, Reiser4..... Also I am surprised that UEFI support is not apparent. I want a " kernel " to suffix with efi and place in EFI pa...
