For your info the VM boots OK and the app is 32bit. I have a funny feeling that this will be a problem too. But hetho one problem at a time.

Thanks for your response. I reinstalled using an xfce version and can now locate the files. Just need to edit. I installed augers - but could not save. Thanks for your hints! All done.

I followed the security steps mentioned on the GhostBSD website. However I am unable to persist the changes using the instructions given. Nealy all of the above commands still can be applied but I cannot persist the settings in the modern day ghost BSD. I am a bit of a NOOBIE. I tried to look for the files in etc but no luck/ WHere else can I find the files (if I can edit them that is)
