How does one manully set IP Addresses

For some reason DHCP is not working properly for me under version 20.08. How does one manually set IP addresses in GhostBSD?

Re: How to Fix Mouse Scrolling

Thank You that did it.

I thought I had to change the file to Write status before I could call it up to change it. All is good now.

Re: How to Fix Mouse Scrolling

I do have a problem when trying to do this. The rc.conf file is Read Only. What I did was to go into the terminal and go to the /etc folder I typed sudo chmod +w rc.conf get prompted for the password and enter it in successfully but the rc.conf is still Read Only. I also tried sudo chmod u+w rc.conf...

Re: Install Chromium?

How I installed Chromium browser under GhostBSD 11.1 was to run OctoPkg (the green Pacman Ghost looking icon) then once loaded and updated search for Chromium, select it to install, and then install it. I could have also done it from the Command Line but this is simpler for me.

How to Fix Mouse Scrolling

This annoying feature came back into version 11.1 of GhostBSD after being away for a couple of releases. Now that I use GhostBSD more it really bothers and I have not been able to find out how to correct it yet. In all versions of 11.1 that I have tried of Mate including Betas etc is that the Mouse ...

Re: Where is System-Config-Printer in 11.1 B1?

I see that now. I didn't see that when looking to setup the printer. If I had seen CUPS I would known that was the printer setup program. That one is on me.

Now I know. Thanks for pointing the obvious to me.

Re: Where is System-Config-Printer in 11.1 B1?

It is still missing in the current 11.1 64-bit Mate build. I can not find System-Config-Printer.

Any suggestions in getting a printer installed via command line to call up the GUI?

Re: 11.1 RC1 Link is Wrong

i386 builds are not available on the FTP site ftp://ghostbsd.org/pub/GhostBSD/releases/amd64/ISO-IMAGES/10.3-RELEASE/ You only get the amd64 directories with no path to the i386 builds. But from here you get the i386 builds http://www.ghostbsd.org/download In the end it doesn't really matter much. T...

11.1 RC1 Link is Wrong

The link to the 11.1 RC1 takes you to the 11.1 B1 FTP Folder not to the RC1 FTP Folder. Also I am sad to see i386 no longer be supported. I was a i386 user because of older hardware I use and lower resourced VMs. I will have to try the 64bit build now and see how that works for me. Unfortunately the...
