Japanese input works for me. Did you install ja-ibus-anthy?
My keyboard is set to Japanese input

I'm glad you're problem is fixed. What type of xmodmap files did you create and where did you place them?

I suggest that you install chromium and/or ungoogled-chromium and see if that works.
If it doesn't there's a repo on GitHub called

This will install working Linux versions of the browser you want like chrome etc

Your webcam may work in the Linux versions IDK

You didn't say what browser you are using. Maybe you need to install some plugins for it to work.

You may need to install some packages then reboot

pkg install webcamd v4l-utils v4l_compat

Then reboot and try again
