Re: Problems with partitioning during install

The only way I am able to reproduce this with 20.08.04 is whith both Legacy BIOS and UEFI enable.

GhostBSD installer only supports one enable. I what is see "sysctl -n machdep.bootmethod" might not return UEFI.

Also to see if you are up to date run pkg upgrade -n if there is no packages to update you do not need to run pkg upgrade or pkg upgrade -f . Chance is that if there is no update Icon on your notification tray the...

Re: GhostBSD 20.08.04 Install [SOLVED]

Re: initial update overwrites root dot files

Config in /etc/ and /usr/local/etc/ might get merge with the new pkg can merge it will, if pkg can't it will create file like this .pkgnew. If a file gets override, we need to know to make sure it will not happen again. Locking the packages is not the best way, because the OS update will miss the ne...

Re: Problems with partitioning during install

What is the scheme MBR or GPT?
What is your partition created?
How to reproduce your problem?
I test GhostBSD-20.08.04.iso and I have no problem with GPT partitions, without any image and information, there is not much I can do to help.
