Re: (Auto-) mounting NTFS drives
FreeBSD has automount options / configs as well. As well as for formatting drives, I suggest the FreeBSD handbook.

Re: Restrict User access to software
I‘d suggest to look at docs.freebsd.org how to manage users and groups.
Would Start here:
https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handb ... ermissions
Chapter 3.3.3 „Managing Groups“.

GhostBSD on Surface
Hello, I tried GhostBSD (MATE) on Surface Tablet (SFGo2) but in Live Mode there is No touchscreen keyboard.
By the way, it ran fine but sadly there was no wifi adapter (Maybe FreeBSD has no driver) and no brightness Control.

Re: Whats the long term future for GhostBSD
„To be honest, if I get hit by a bus, the project will die with me.“ Eric, I really don‘t want to think about that, Not for a second, you have Family and you are really pleasant. I wonder sometimes why Shuttleworth did not choose BSD as base for Ubuntu, as it may get some easier with its bsd-license...

Re: Absolutely awesome BSD OS!!!
Without GhostBSD, I would not use FreeBSD, as pure FreeBSD is not user friendly in Setting up a desktop. Also I prefer GhostBSD over nomadBSD and orhers due to the Great Support from Eric and orhers and because the distro is quickly installed and ready to use and I like the Desktop and Mac-like- des...

Is ist possible in future to make update- and software-Station use of „pkg-update“ every time ist ...

How to update correctly?
Hello, I installed GhostBSD on old Laptop. Now first what I want to do is an update/upgrade of the system. But software-station finds 0 packages and update-station tells me, system is up to date. So I did a "pkg update" in terminal and ignored the mismatch OS-Version. After this, the repo ...
