Disk encryption ?

Hi I am considering GhostBSD but I been reading over the years, there is no disk encryption is this still a thing ? I travel and I absolutely need that, a OS in 2026 should have that as a baseline ! if It does not have it how to add GELI disk encryption where do I enable it ?

EmilioL The latest version should have an option to do full disk encryption while installing the OS.

With that said, GhostBSD also works well from RAM and you can make a custom GhostBSD image which would run from RAM and have everything you'd need from the start while you could use an encrypted external drive for your data.

EmilioL This is already implemented in the latest 26.2 unstable ISO. I thought that it was available for download somewhere but looks like I was wrong. 26.2 should come out fairly soon.
