Hello there guys, how is everyone doing.
I know nothing about BSD, this is the first time I install ghostBSD. I just wanted to try it out to port some of my apps to BSD and play around a bit.
This is what I did in order:
1) Burned the Iso with balena etcher.
2) Installed BSD to harddisk
3) Successfully booted and MATTE works beautiful
4) Opened the terminal from the applications start menu
5) Typed the following commands in order:
sudo pkg update -f
sudo pkg upgrade
System was updating beautifully, suddently, the screen became black (I can still see the mouse and move the mouse)... I went to take a shower real quick when I came back it was still black so I switched to another TTY2.
then I did a sudo reboot., and re-ran the commands above.
lightdm broke.
sudo /usr/local/sbin/lightdm --debug
Failed to find session configuration default
Failed to create greeter session
Should I update the system from a tty next time?
Did I do something wrong? Sorry about my ignorance, I am new to BSD
I dont know if I should re-install and re-update from tty instead of from inside matte desktop, OR if I should feel adventurous to try to fix this.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks guys.
