Or, even better, boot from a GhostBSD install media and zpool import from there. That way the zfs support is guaranteed. Or, you could chroot into the installed system from the live environment.

Add this line to /boot/loader.conf: if_rge_load="YES" Add this line to /etc/rc.conf: ifconfig_rge0="DHCP"but I should add this to loader.conf too right if_re_name="/boot/modules/if_re.ko"? I added both to loader.conf in Mate & the network ran.

Edward1978 realtek-rge-kmod is an experimental driver, you should only use it if realtek-re-kmod is not working for you. Don't use them at the same time.

Last time just these in loader.conf worked. Thought I install Mate & install the DE in that one.

So in the first thread I made here, a post says to put in the CLI sudo pkg install realtek-rge-kmod, so just type that in, or should I have the live usb plugged in?
