Lumina worked well as the desktop on the now-discontinued TrueOS project. GhostBSD, however, officially supports only the MATE desktop environment, with other options, such as XFCE, maintained by the community. If you wish to see Lumina included, you are free to contribute and maintain it yourself. The primary reason for having just one officially supported desktop is that there is only one lead developer for GhostBSD, assisted by a small number of volunteers. Consequently, any development beyond the project’s main goals relies on community contributions.
