Hi @tsesani
Thank You for starting this thread, which seems the first one on this subject.
I asked Eric, if there wd be already one I may have overlooked, cause I didn t want to have twice a thread on this.
Well, my experiences so far are good as well. The xlibre server doesn t show major flaws or so till now, even streaming via chromium was re-implemented within 5 minutes, thx to a good forum post on this. ;-)
I experienced the midnight commander issue a bit different as well. Here only the adding of the -u param made it. But I prefer bash as too much used to it for years.
I stumbled across that headphone problem again, that there s no automatic switch between this and speaker, so I hope, i ll find the settings again, Neville helped me out with in the past for my Toshiba Portege laptop.
In the meantime, it s only some minor adjustments with menue entries, getting squirrel sql working again and putting my email accounts in an fresh Thunderbird installation.;-)
But also a very fast boot process, tog. with no issues with software- and update-station made the upgrade very smoothly and well experienced.
When I have a full "backup" with my Laptop, I ll try the upgrade via update-station alone on my desktop. This will keep xorg then for the moment, but that s ok. I d like to test both experiences with complete new and upgrading an existing installation.
