Integrating ProtonMail into BSD

ProtonMail has a Linux application. I would like to have the application available under GhostBSD so that I can use this app within our environment. The application is more convenient than using the WebUI.

I've raised the BSD support issue with Proton on Twitter/X.

I see we have many Linux packages in the software repository.

I use Proton mail app in Linux. Protonmail requires systemd. I use the web apps for GhostBSD or non systemd OS's.

Proton does not yet have a way to access mail server without a client supporting encryption. Proton uses a "bridge app" in Linux to connect .

Seems like a lot of work without support from Proton.

I've asked Proton on Twitter/X to make a FreeBSD version. I've not received a reply.

(I've also asked Foxit Software to make a version of their PDF system for FreeBSD. They gave a polite reply that it was now under consideration. They have a commercial version that would work with the FreeBSD's MIT license terms that would not be allowed under GPL.)
