me12345 Cool...I just did command line "sudo pkg update;sudo pkg upgrade" which just seems quicker with instant feedback. I personally find navigating a GUI more burdensome then two simple pkg commands. GhostBSD 26.2-R15.1a1 PRERELEASE is working great on my laptops. Wifi is not any better for any of my laptops (stuck at Wifi g 20Mbs data rate / 54Mb physical connection) but I have not noticed any regressions. I don't think all the latest Wifi enhancements have made it to FreeBSD 15.1 yet hopefully before the 15.1 release date.
dmoser458 Have been trying to upgrade to R26 for a couple of weeks and have gone through the command line process a couple of times. This process seems to finish, but after rebooting the version is still at 25.02-R14.3p8. I have run the Update Station upgrade several times, even after reinstalling Update Station, and it hangs at at "ports extraction (360/890) " I cannot seem to get past this point in the upgrade process. Please help! Regards, David
dmoser458 RodMyers Rod, using upgrade-station is where it hangs. It gets to the stage where it tries to extract the R26 "ports" package and it stops at (360/890). I don't know this system very well, have tried everything I can find and it still won't go any further. I'm downloading the new R26.1 ISO right now. Guess I will reinstall the system to get the upgrade.
RodMyers known issue from the past. remove ports, upgrade, and re-install ports. been doing that for awhile not perfect, but ...........
